Picture in Picture(PiP) - signal meter appears in lower left corner as the tools move, sound sync'd with motion
Video segments - 4 steps - chunk material so that the learner can access the part that is of interest (individual differences)
Use app that WB can edit/support - Captivate?
  • Captivate PiP should be a layer with a new video on it, like a callout is on a new layer.
  • Can I sync the audio from PiP with video?
  • Can I put callouts on the video?

Mayer (Asking Right Questions) says that problem-solving transfer performance happens best with animation and coordinated audio or illustration and coordinated text. No comments about audio vs. text, however. I think he feels that question is irrelevant.

Insert guides and do between steps
Show which tool to use for each step
Let user choose tool for each step
Control forward, back (review) , volume, on/off for audio overlay
